Tomb Raider [Steam store page]
This franchise reboot was very satisfying, an appropriate start for the character we know Lara Croft will turn into eventually.

Expansive levels that make Portal look like a tech demo, with quite a few new fun mechanics and a lot of back-story about the Aperture Corporation. It's about three times as long as the original, and once again ends with fantastic music.

This was fantastic the first time through - physics puzzles with tiny details that draw you into the story. The only reason I can't give it 10/10 is that Portal 2 is even better.

A truly great puzzle platformer! Fun yet relaxing, this game has good graphics and three different characters - each with unique abilities. You can switch characters at any time using number keys, using their abilities to progress through the level

Minecraft in 2D, but with good combat and bosses. You can make a large variety of weapons and potions, and there are sky islands, dungeons, and the underworld to explore. The 1.1 update adds tons of content and improves the game considerably.

This slick looking puzzle game is simple, but enjoyable. As the game progresses you unlock six special abilities and more complex puzzles to go with them. Aside from the simple 'normal' puzzles, there are also 'hard' and 'bonus' levels.

The controls on this underwater side-scroller are decent, though I wish there was a way to bind songs to a hotkey. A way to quick-save instead of save points within the game would be nice as well.

A solid little ninja-platformer where you click on enemies to teleport to them rather than jumping. The boss fights are particularly fun!

My only gripe is that in the normal levels I sometimes have to click twice to get my character to teleport to an enemy (I think it's because he isn't finished with his slice-and-dice of the current enemy). That's the only thing holding me back from saying this is really good.

Just Get Through [Steam store page]
If you mash together the responsiveness of Super Meat Boy, and the randomness of Spelunky, you get a simple but satisfying randomized platformer.

While this is a much cleaner game than And Yet It Moves, I am left wishing for better control granularity. In certain areas a mouse control scheme would reduce the number of deaths immensely. Luckily the checkpoints are frequent and lives unlimited

I'm on the fence about this game - the abilities are interesting, but execution of certain moves like jumping is difficult. I think this would be more fun as a puzzle game without the enemies, since the sluggish movement makes it difficult get away

Trine 2: Complete Story [Steam store page]
I didn't enjoy this nearly as much as Trine - it felt like less of a puzzle game and a lot more platformer. The wizard's triangle is gone, and all the characters swim the same now.

And Yet It Moves [Steam store page]
While the concept is interesting, I find it rather annoying in practice, especially the way you stay at freefall speed even when you flip the world. This means if you flip the world while you're next to a wall you instantly kill yourself.
