A truly great puzzle platformer! Fun yet relaxing, this game has good graphics and three different characters - each with unique abilities. You can switch characters at any time using number keys, using their abilities to progress through the level

Atom Zombie Smasher [Steam store page]
Fairly easy on default, yet nearly impossible to win without using the chooser or combatant modifier - since it often gives you a poor selection of mercenaries. The balance could use a bit of work, since chooser lets you faceroll - but overall fun.

While the story, art, and combat are all solid, this one isn't nearly as good as Transistor in my opinion. The art is on par with visual novels and choose your own adventure games, and the story didn't feel as gripping as their past two games, even though the world itself seems interesting.

But the part that was the weirdest to me was the combat - which by itself was fine in a sort of sports-game way, but it was an odd dichotomy between the fast-paced action and the relatively long story and shopping pauses between battles.

It wasn't bad, just a strange mix. Other games like Hand of Fate have also mixed story and action sequences, but they usually keep the interactions between matches very brief, and I think that works better.

The casting system is reasonably intuitive, and the gameplay itself is as fun as Torchlight, though the heavy corridor feel of the levels detracts a bit. There is a smattering of story and humor throughout, but I wouldn't call it story-driven.

I'm on the fence about this game - the abilities are interesting, but execution of certain moves like jumping is difficult. I think this would be more fun as a puzzle game without the enemies, since the sluggish movement makes it difficult get away

Trine 2: Complete Story [Steam store page]
I didn't enjoy this nearly as much as Trine - it felt like less of a puzzle game and a lot more platformer. The wizard's triangle is gone, and all the characters swim the same now.

Hammerfight [Steam store page]
I love the concept of flying ships with flails and hammers doing battle - but having to constantly rotate my mouse to swing my hammer is tiring at best. Theres also a ton of unnecessary text/story when the gameplay speaks for itself.
